Cultural Heritage "V MLINU - In the Mill"
The unit has a particular importance for the municipality of Bovec because of its cultural, ethnological and architectural properties. It is declared a cultural monument of local importance since 2007.
Building "V Mlinu, in English it would be called: In the Mill", was finished in the first half of the 20th century. It lies on a plateau on the right bank of the stream Vrsnica and by the Soča river.
The location has been connected with water from time immemorial. The earliest available documentation shows that water power has been already exploited for the needs of the sawmill in the middle of the 19th century and from 1853 also for the mill. The sawmill and the mill were burned down in 1929. The owners rebuilt the sawmill around 1935 and they built a house on the location of the mill in 1937.
There are more buildings within the unit: residential house, farmer's retirement house, woodshed, a sawmill, a shed, and a footbridge.

The Apartment Erika
Our main purpose is to preserve tradition and integral aspect of homestead "In the Mill", which is protected and recognized as cultural heritage with its all buildings. To this end, we fully renovated this little house.
The apartment prides itself on its hospitality and interesting interior. We pointed out some of the details, such as the original walls, "dimn'ca" - the former firebox for furnace and typical small windows. Building furniture is in typical colors and they are an imitation of previous doors and windows. We preserved the outside chimney, which is now a rarity but it has been a common building feature in the past. The roof is covered with the boards made of larch.
Despite all the details preserved from ancient times, our apartment offers our guests all the conveniences of modern life in the interior and at the same time indicates that the building is part of the long tradition.
